Coiba Blue Expeditions
A dive and snorkel operator in Santa Catalina running the Coiba National Park sites: Bajo Cerro Bahía, Wahoo Rock and the Granito de Oro shallows. PADI five-star, two boats, and a hard rule that nobody dives Coiba on their first day out of a plane. Park permits are handled in-house, which is the part most visitors get wrong when they try to arrange it themselves from town.

Overview
Dive and snorkel departures from Santa Catalina into Coiba National Park: Bajo Cerro Bahía for the schooling jacks, Wahoo Rock when the current allows it, and the Granito de Oro shallows for snorkellers and anyone on their first two dives. PADI five-star centre with two boats and a hard rule nobody argues with twice — you do not dive Coiba on your first day off a plane, and the check dive is not optional if it has been more than a year. Park permits are arranged in-house, which is where most people who try to organise Coiba from town come unstuck. Boats leave at six because the crossing takes ninety minutes and the water is flat then.

Opciones de tour

Same boat and same crossing as the divers, three snorkel sites in the shallows. Turtles are close to a certainty at Granito de Oro.

Two tanks in the park with a surface interval on Granito de Oro. Full kit, permit and lunch on board. The standard day and the one to book first.

Three tanks including Wahoo Rock when the current allows. Advanced certification and fifty logged dives; the boat turns around if the sea says no.
